The Rescue Mission (TRM), is an $11 million faith-based, 501(c)(3) organization, providing restorative care to men, women, and children experiencing a homeless crisis. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, TRM’s mission to the surrounding region is to transform lives through the love of Jesus Christ and provide, through the power of Jesus Christ, a home for the homeless, food for the hungry, and hope for their future.

The Opportunity

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Chief Stewardship Officer (CSO) to lead all development efforts as well as the implementation of an overall stewardship strategy.  A successful CSO candidate will provide team leadership, management, and accountability for the Stewardship Department. The CSO will be the primary strategist for all development efforts including but not limited to partnership development, direct mail, major, mid-level, digital, and recurring gifts as well as capital campaigns, grant procurement, events, marketing, and public relations.  As a member of the Executive Team, the CSO will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure the achievement of TRM’s goals while building a culture of philanthropy. Relocation to Fort Wayne, IN is required.
